As part of our research development and planning, it’s imporant to invite members of the community to work with our research team.
This helps guide researchers in the direction the community believes will achieve the best results, and these can then be communicated back to the general public.
To become involved in Phage WA activities
Community reference group
This platform offers the researchers from the Wal-yan Centre a chance to share their work, receive feedback, have community members review documents, or simply propose research ideas to community representatives.
Typically, these sorts of community reference groups meet voluntarily 3-4 times a year, either in person or virtually. Members of these groups are community representatives who are passionate about investigating how phage therapy can impove the lives of people with poor lung health.
We are always looking for new community perspectives on phage therapy use in WA and would love to hear from you! Whether you have questions, would like more information or to become a community representative, please get in touch by emailing PHAGE@thekids.org.au.
