Find out how you can get involved with our work at Phage WA.

As part of our research development and planning, it’s imporant to invite members of the community to work with our research team.

This helps guide researchers in the direction the community believes will achieve the best results, and these can then be communicated back to the general public.

Community reference group

This platform offers the researchers from the Wal-yan Centre a chance to share their work, receive feedback, have community members review documents, or simply propose research ideas to community representatives.

Typically, these sorts of community reference groups meet voluntarily 3-4 times a year, either in person or virtually. Members of these groups are community representatives who are passionate about investigating how phage therapy can impove the lives of people with poor lung health.

We are always looking for new community perspectives on phage therapy use in WA and would love to hear from you! Whether you have questions, would like more information or to become a community representative, please get in touch by emailing PHAGE@thekids.org.au.

Clinical Trials

Here in WA, we are working towards running phage therapy clinical trials with people who are experiencing antimicrobial resistant lung infections. If you are interested in participating in a trial or future trials, please register your interest by completing the form below. Please note, interest does not guarantee a place, as all trials will be subject to eligibility criteria.

By clicking “Submit,” you are agreeing for your interest in Phage WA clinical trials to be registered and retained on the Phage WA database. This is voluntary and consent can be withdrawn at any time. For further information, please email the Phage WA research team at PHAGE@thekids.org.au
