Thomas Halvorsen

Thomas Halvorsen has worked in clinical pediatrics since 1988, mainly pediatric respiratory and critical care medicine and some oncology, plus doing on-calls in neonatology.  He did a clinical PhD on long-term follow up after extreme preterm birth in 2006, then worked 50/50 clinical work and postdoctor until 2013.

Research focus has been long-term follow-up after extreme preterm birth and bronchiolitis in infancy. Additionally, he has been very much engaged in putting the larynx on the respiratory agenda.  Currently he works as Professor of Pediatrics, chair ‘Medicines for children research network Norway’ is a visiting professor at the Norwegian School of Sport.
